STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS GUIDE How to Apply Through Shein’s Free Trial Center

A clear walkthrough of the main steps, based on information available through Shein’s Free Trial Help Center, so you can understand how the process works from start to finish.

Independent educational guide — This content is based on publicly available information from Shein’s Free Trial Help Center. We are not affiliated with Shein. Participation depends on selection criteria and approval is not guaranteed. Always review the official conditions for each campaign before applying.

If you have already visited the Free Trial section but were not completely sure what to do next, the process can feel more confusing than it actually is. Once you understand the sequence, the main steps are fairly simple.

This guide explains how users typically submit applications, monitor their status, and complete the required review. Being selected is never guaranteed, but following the correct process can help prevent avoidable problems during your application.

1

Access the Free Trial Center

Sign in to your Shein account first. In the app, open your profile and look under Other Services or More Services, then select Free Trial Center. On the website, the section may appear within the available community or service options.

From there, you can explore the products currently listed for testing. The available selection can change over time, so an item visible now may not remain available later.

2

Use your weekly application opportunities

Users can generally submit applications for up to 3 items each week. Any unused application opportunities normally do not roll over into the following week.

When you find a product you are genuinely interested in testing:

  • Select the Free Trial option on the product
  • Choose the appropriate size
  • Verify that your shipping address belongs to the same country as the Shein site you are using
  • Review the information and press Submit

Important: A mismatch between the country on your shipping address and the country version of the Shein website may prevent the application from being completed correctly. Check this information before submitting.

3

Track your application status

The review period for an application may take around one week. You can usually monitor the result through My Free Trial or My Applications inside your account.

  • Approved — your application was selected. The item is typically processed as a $0 order and sent according to the program rules.
  • Failed — that particular application was not selected. You can continue checking for other available testing opportunities.

4

Test the product and submit your feedback

If you are selected and the product arrives, take time to actually use or try the item. Pay attention to factors such as quality, fit, materials, appearance, comfort, and overall construction.

After testing it, submit a complete and truthful review through your account, preferably within 10 days after delivery. The report can normally be followed through the My Report section.

A more useful review usually includes:

  • Both positive and negative observations when relevant
  • Clear photos, including an overall view and closer product details
  • Specific comments about size, fabric, comfort, quality, and real-world use

About points: An accepted report may award around 20 points, while a report recognized as a Quality Report may receive approximately 100 additional points.

If the first version of your review is not accepted, the program may provide one additional opportunity to correct it and submit it again.

Key rules to keep in mind

• Up to 3 applications per week, with unused opportunities generally not accumulating

• Your delivery address should match the country version of the Shein site being used

• Shein generally covers shipping, although customs charges may depend on your location

• Try to complete the required review within 10 days of receiving the item

• Creating fake or multiple accounts can lead to restrictions from the Free Trial program

• Failing to complete a required review may affect future participation

Common mistakes that can cause problems

❌ Leaving profile information incomplete or choosing the wrong size

❌ Using a delivery address from a country that does not match the selected Shein site

❌ Waiting too long to apply for highly requested products

❌ Submitting very short reviews without meaningful details or useful images

❌ Forgetting to submit the review within the requested timeframe

❌ Opening multiple accounts in an attempt to increase the number of applications

Frequently asked questions

Is shipping free?

For many Free Trial orders, shipping is covered by Shein. However, customs fees or import charges may still depend on the rules of your country.

How many products can I apply for?

The program generally allows up to 3 applications per week. Opportunities that are not used usually do not transfer to the following week.

Do selected users keep the product?

Under the standard Free Trial process, selected participants generally keep the item after completing the required review according to the campaign rules.

When will I know the result?

A result may take around one week. Check My Free Trial or My Applications to see whether the application has been marked Approved or Failed.

What happens if my review is not accepted?

In some cases, you may receive another opportunity to correct the report and submit it again. Carefully follow the requested content and image guidelines.

Do I need a large social media audience?

A large follower count is not necessarily required. Detailed feedback, accurate information, and consistent participation can be more relevant to the testing process.

The process can be summarized like this: enter the Free Trial Center → submit up to 3 applications during the week → monitor the application result → if selected, receive and test the item → complete an honest review with useful photos. Keeping your account information accurate and completing required reports are important parts of participating correctly.
